2025 EWA Conservation Extravaganza

The 2025 EWA Extravaganza was held August 7–9 at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas. Each year, this signature event brings together members, sponsors, exhibitors, and friends of the Exotic Wildlife Association to celebrate achievements, support meaningful causes, and enjoy a weekend of networking, education, and entertainment. This year’s Extravaganza was the largest in EWA history, with more than 600 attendees. The weekend began with the 2nd Annual EWA Scholarship Golf Tournament, where players and sponsors teed off for a good cause. The tournament raised over $30,000, enabling EWA to award eight new scholarships. Today, a total of 22 students—recognized for their academic excellence, community service, and financial need—are supported through the EWA Scholarship Fund. By investing in the next generation, EWA continues its mission of building opportunities through education. The spirit of giving was evident throughout the weekend. Thanks to the generosity of donors and attendees, the event raised an impressive $265,000 to provide relief for families affected by the Kerr County flooding over the July 4th weekend. This powerful act of support highlighted the compassion and dedication of the EWA community. Guests enjoyed a full schedule of activities, including the first-ever EWA Rubber Ducky Race, which raised funds for the EWA Conservation Foundation while adding a lighthearted, fun competition. Other highlights included the Elite Registry Auction, the Grand Auction, and the Exotic Auction, along with raffles, carnival games, networking opportunities, and educational seminars designed to inform and inspire. The weekend concluded with a memorable performance by Stoney LaRue, bringing attendees together for an evening of music, camaraderie, and celebration. The 2025 Extravaganza was truly one for the books—breaking records, supporting important causes, and showcasing the strength of the Exotic Wildlife Association.
